This book is the result of twenty years research which involved the autor, among other things, in personally examining virtually every early Brescian firearm in the public collections of Eastern and Western Europe, the United States and Canada, as well a great many in private collections, and also in searching for references to them in the catalogues of the major sales of antique arms held during the last two hundred years.
